Why? Because version 1.30 represents a "golden era" of stability. It was the final build before the massive map re-scaling and the introduction of DX11, which, while beautiful, increased system requirements drastically. Furthermore, the "Portable" aspect allows players to run the game directly from a USB stick, an external hard drive, or a cloud folder without touching the Windows Registry.

Running a portable version doesn't mean missing out. These mods work perfectly with 1.30:

This update focused on modernization, bringing engine and navigation improvements from American Truck Simulator to the European roads.
