Vada Chennai was planned as a trilogy. The first film introduces us to Anbu (Dhanush), a young carrom-board champion who gets inadvertently dragged into a gang war spanning decades. The narrative moves between the 1970s and the early 2000s, showcasing the rise of gangsters like Rajan (Ameer) and Guna (Samuthirakani).
