Set in the 14th century, the film follows Behmen (Nicolas Cage) and Felson (Ron Perlman), two disillusioned Knights Templar who desert the church after witnessing the atrocities of the Crusades. While traveling through a plague-ridden land, they are apprehended and tasked with transporting an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote monastery.
