The film takes place 21 years after the events of the first movie. The story revolves around Spencer Gilpin (Alex Wolff), a teenager who stumbles upon an old video game console while cleaning out the basement of his late grandfather's house. As he starts playing the game, he's sucked into the world of Jumanji, along with his friends Bethany (Madison Iseman), Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain), and Martha (Morgan Turner).
