In a pulse-pounding finale, David is forced into a literal "dead man’s switch" scenario, walking through the streets of London strapped into a suicide vest. Using his expert knowledge of explosives and the help of his few remaining allies, he manages to expose the true architect of the plot: a collaboration between his own boss, Anne Sampson, and the organized crime leader Luke Aitkens, who wanted Julia removed to protect their illicit interests.
