In the mid-2000s, blank dual-layer media (DVD9) was expensive and often unreliable in modded consoles. To make games distributable and burnable onto cheap discs, release groups performed "DVD9 to DVD5" conversions. This meant ripping the game apart, compressing video files (often butchering the cinematic quality), stripping out developer credits, or down-sampling audio to fit the game onto a 4.7 GB disc. This file represents a "shrunken" version of Kratos's epic journey, compressed to fit the economic constraints of the time.
