Volume 4’s opening chapter, “A Cold Cup of Tea,” is a masterclass in decompression. It’s a risky move for a series built on high-octane trickery, but Kagaya-sensei uses these quiet pages to remind us that Hotaru is still a teenager playing an adult’s game.
